About us
DopaDrop was born from a painful realisation. When my little brother fell into screen and pornography dependency, I realised I had never spoken about the dangers of these addictions — even though I had suffered from them myself for years.
As the founder of DopaDrop, anonymous for now, I was addicted to pornography from the age of 11. Not just porn: screens in general. I spent more than 6 hours a day in front of a screen — gaming, watching videos, or unfortunately porn. These addictions left real marks on my life: my sexuality, my social relationships, my professional outlook, my moods and many other parts of my daily life.
That's why, surrounded by my family, close friends and professionals — psychologists, doctors and teachers — I decided to create DopaDrop. To help those going through what I went through, but above all to reach parents, who will play an absolutely essential role for future generations.
Together, we worked hard to write our prevention books and booklets: concrete, science-based resources designed for the Swiss reality. We are proud to be able to put them in your hands today.
I want to spare an entire generation from falling into this dependency that is damaging a whole youth.
In Switzerland, an adult spends on average more than 4 hours a day on their phone. Among 15 to 25 year olds, this figure exceeds 6 hours. Behind these lost hours lie real dependencies — often silent, often shameful, rarely taken seriously.
Our mission is simple and concrete: to help every person affected break free from fast-dopamine addiction, whether it comes from porn, compulsive scrolling or social media. And also to create a space where people can talk about it freely, without judgement, to help those going through the same thing.
We believe information saves lives. Too many young people suffer in silence, withdraw into themselves, and watch their social and sexual relationships deteriorate without understanding why. These dependencies contribute to isolation, mood disorders and, in the most serious cases, suicidal thoughts. These are documented realities that society still prefers not to talk about.
Inform. Make serious resources about pornography, screens and social media accessible, so that everyone understands what is happening in their brain.
Prevent. Step in before dependency takes hold, especially with young people and their parents, who are the first line of defence.
Free. Encourage everyone to build their own life, away from algorithms that decide for them what they should feel, desire and be worth.
Reconnect. Improve social and intimate relationships, often the first victims of these addictions. Rediscover the simple pleasure of being present, having real conversations, living real experiences.
We are living through an unprecedented technological revolution. Digital devices are now an integral part of our daily lives, and that is an unavoidable reality. What we don't see, however, is the scale of the damage caused by their overconsumption.
It is no coincidence. Tech companies work with psychologists, neuroscientists and human behaviour specialists to design apps, platforms and content that maximise the time you spend on them. Casinos and the porn industry are known for exploiting these mechanisms. What we realise less is that TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, video games and e-commerce sites use exactly the same techniques. The goal is not your well-being. It's your attention.
The result is a population that is increasingly dependent, increasingly isolated, increasingly unable to be bored for five minutes without grabbing their phone. An entire generation growing up with a distorted image of relationships, sexuality and itself.
Our vision is that of a society that consumes screens consciously and by choice — not by default. A society where parents understand what their children are going through and can talk about it. A society where digital dependency is recognised, treated and prevented like any other addiction.
We don't want to get rid of technology. We want to give every person back the power to decide for themselves how, when and why they use it.
Taking back control. It's possible. It's our reason for being.
« Being affected is not a weakness. It's a reality no one should face alone. »

I'm the mum of a boy who will soon turn 10. I was planning to give him a phone for his birthday — he already has an old tablet, but honestly I had never really looked at what he could do on it. A friend told me about the parents' booklet. I put a few simple rules in place and above all blocked all access to adult content. The team helped me set everything up over WhatsApp. I'm so relieved I did this before he gets his phone.
I got my first phone at 12. A friend showed me porn sites shortly after; at first it didn't hook me. But with difficult events in my life, porn progressively filled a void without me really noticing. Until the day I had my first real relationship and couldn't get an erection. Dopaminergies helped me understand what had happened in my brain, without judgement. I started my detox. The progress is real.
Thousands of people are going through what you are experiencing, often in silence. I myself, founder of DopaDrop, have been through it. With my loved ones and our medical partners, psychologists and doctors, we are available to answer your questions within a maximum of 48 hours, by WhatsApp or email. Without judgement. Always.
